Easter isn't Easter without Peeps, Halloween isn't Halloween without candy corn.
And Valentine's day isn't Valentine's day without Sweethearts. You know them, you love them. Well, maybe not love them. As Lrrr famously remarked:
"These candies are chalky and unpleasant! And what is this emotion you humans call 'wuv'?"
Never the less, the New England Confectionary Company (yes, that's NECCO as in NECCO Wafers), has been making these hearts since the 1860s. No, the box you bought yesterday is not that old.
Personally, I prefer chocolate.
