Take a Lap....

When I get older losing my hair
many years from now
will you still be sending me a valentine
birthday greeting, bottle of wine
If I'd been out till quarter to three
would you lock the door
Will you still need me
Will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four

I could be handy mending a fuse

when your lights have gone
You can knit a sweater by the fireside
Sunday mornings, go for a ride
Doing the garden, digging the weeds
Who could ask for more
Will you still need me
Will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four

Send me a postcard, drop me a line
stating point of view
indicate precisely what you mean to say

yours sincerely, wasting away
Give me your answer
fill in a form, mine forever more
Will you still need me
Will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four

  1. NOt only until 64, maybe even 84 in a wheel chair. You have no idea how many old people like us were there to shuffle around the bases.

  2. Not only 64 We're going for 84 even if you have to push us around in a wheel chair. I almost blow this off, instead we did it. The phillies did loss to LA that day but it was a real good game. We were in the top row of section 307. Players looked like about 2 inches tall. But had a great time.
